Lobster: a succulent treat that can be eaten alone or combined with a handful of creative dishes. On Feb. 27 the Cape Canaveral Lighthouse Foundation will be hosting the 10th Annual Lobster Fest from 11 a.m. to 3 p.m. There will be lobster, lighthouse tours and more!
The star of this festival is, of course, Maine lobster! Each guest will receive a Maine lobster meal that is served with lobster (or chicken), mac and cheese, coleslaw, baked beans, dinner rolls, dessert and drinks. What’s better than eating a great meal while enjoying the beautiful view of Cape Canaveral?
Lunch will be served at the Cape Café, starting at 11 a.m. The Cape Canaveral Lighthouse Foundation will provide transportation for guests to the Cape Café from the Space Florida Building, located outside of the Cape Canaveral Air Force Station’s South Gate, beginning at 10:45 a.m.* The last bus leaves at noon, so if you’d like a ride make sure you get there beforehand!
Not only is this festival about tasty Maine lobster, but it’s a fundraiser to help raise money to rebuild the lighthouse community as it once was. The Cape Canaveral Lighthouse Foundation has worked hard over the past couple years to meet the requirements for constructing, and now they need to community’s support to raise the funds to begin construction.
Tickets to the 10th Annual Lobster Fest at the Cape Canaveral Lighthouse are $50 per person. Reservations must be made by Feb. 19 and can be made online at CanaveralLight.org. All tickets will include the Maine lobster (or chicken) meal, transportation and a complimentary tour of the lighthouse.
The Annual Lobster Fest is the perfect place to take your friends and family for an afternoon filled with great food, friendly people and beautiful views.
