Updated: The Best Places to Celebrate 4th of July in Brevard

American flag? Check. Burgers and beer? Check. Fireworks? Check. U-S-A chant? You betcha! 4th of July is the day we celebrate America’s Independence, and here on the Space Coast we love to celebrate all weekend long. From fireworks on the beach to giant block parties with live bands, there’s no better place to celebrate 4th of July weekend than in Brevard. Here is our guide on where to celebrate 4th of July in Brevard.

July 1st

EGAD Mainstreet

Eau Gallie Arts District will be hosting the “Eau Say Can You See” celebration to kick off 4th of July weekend. The event is in the heart of the Eau Gallie, with live patriotic music, yard games, food, beer, and good family fun. July 2nd

Port Canaveral

4th of July in BrevardPort Canaveral is one of the Space Coast’s most popular destinations, so it’s no surprise that they’ll be hosting an epic block party and firework display over the water to celebrate 4th of July weekend. The Cove at Port Canaveral will be hosting the Fireworks over the Harbor on July 2, starting at 4:30 p.m. The fireworks and block party in Port Canaveral attract anywhere from 5,000 to 8,000 people every year. There will also be a Kids Zone with bounce houses, cotton candy, face painting and more for no additional cost. Adults can check out the 20+ vendors, head over to the beer tent or dance along to the music of the live DJ by the water. For a VIP viewing of the Fireworks over the Harbor, guests can purchase tickets for viewing on the Exploration Tower’s observation deck. Tickets are $15 at the event. The Fireworks over the Harbor will begin soon after dark. You could definitely say this is one of the most awesome 4th of July parties. July 3rd

Cocoa Beach

4th of July in BrevardxEvery city in America has fireworks on 4th of July, but what makes Cocoa Beach different than the rest? We can watch the fireworks while lounging on the beautiful beach. On July 3, watch the fireworks over the Atlantic Ocean for a night you won’t forget. Thousands of people gather on the beach with their friends, family, beach chairs and refreshments as the fireworks sparkle above. Best viewing areas are between Shepard Park and the Cocoa Beach Pier. Palm Bay

Celebrate Independence Day with your friends and family in Palm Bay on July 3, starting at 4 p.m. The Palm Bay Independence Day Celebration will be on Eastern Florida State’s Palm Bay campus. July 4th

Cocoa Village

fireworks in cocoa villageA Brevard County tradition, historic Cocoa Village will be hosting their 4th of July Symphony Under the Stars at Riverfront Park. Nothing says “patriotic” like our National Anthem being played by Brevard Symphony Orchestra as a grand fireworks show booms over the Indian River Lagoon. The concert is free and begins approximately at 8 p.m. Feel free to bring your lawn chairs and blankets to enjoy the show. After the fireworks display and concert are over, head to one of Cocoa Village’s restaurants and bars for some drinks and continue celebrating America. U-S-A! U-S-A! U-S-A! Cocoa Village Main Street will be hosting the 4th of July Shrimp & Pie Fireworks in the Sky VIP Fundraiser. The fundraiser will be on the Southeast end of Riverfront Park, and will include a low country style shrimp boil, pie, entertainment, games and raffles. The VIP party will begin at 5 p.m., and guests will receive a private VIP viewing of the fireworks. Titusville

Celebrate 4th of July in Titusville at the Red, White and Boom event at Sand Point Park, starting at 7 p.m. The Red, White and Boom event will have live music, delicious food, drinks and plenty of activities for the whole family. The boomin’ fireworks show is scheduled to go off at 9:15 p.m. from the Marina Park. Bring the whole family because this is an event you won’t want to miss. For more, please call 321-567-3775.

Viera

Baseball, barbeque, beer and fireworks? Now this sounds like the ultimate 4th of July celebration. Join your friends and family for Viera’s signature summertime event at the Great American Celebration on Monday, July 4. The celebration will be held at the Berm Space Coast Stadium, starting at 6:30 p.m. Tickets to the event are $15 and include a private party at the stadium, all-you-can-eat BBQ dinner catered by a local favorite, Slow and Low, a commemorative t-shirt and an amazing fireworks show. Melbourne

If you’re feeling super patriotic, start off your 4th of July with the Firecracker 5K that will start off with the ringing of a replica of America’s Liberty Bell. The Firecracker 5K will begin at 7 a.m. at the Liberty Bell Museum in Melbourne. Dress in your best patriotic costume for a chance to win prizes. After the race, the Honor America Parade will begin (time and place TBA). Later that evening the city will host a fireworks display. Call 321-727-1776.

Sebastian

4th of July in Brevard3Sebastian’s Freedom Festival and 44th Annual 4th of July Parade will be held on July 4. This festival and parade attracts thousands of attendees every year and has something to do for the entire family. The festival will be held at Riverview Park in Sebastian. There will be 4th of July festivities, events, music, food, a watermelon eating contest and fireworks. The parade will start around 8:30 a.m. and will travel down Indian River Drive. Call 772-589-5330 for more info.
