Celebrate All Things Cape Canaveral for Founder’s Day

Cape Canaveral is home to the most beautiful and accessible beaches, delicious restaurants, and our space program! Celebrate the cornerstone of the Space Coast this weekend for Founder’s Day. Cape Canaveral’s Founders Day celebration is this Saturday, April 1, from 10AM – 1PM at Manatee Sanctuary Park. Celebrate all things Cape Canaveral for Founder’s Day.

Celebrate the wonders of Cape Canaveral for Founder’s Day!

When: Saturday, April 1, 10 AM – 1 PM

Where: Manatee Sanctuary Park, 701 Thurm Blvd, Cape Canaveral

The event kicks off with the Cape Canaveral VFW presenting the colors, paired with the Church of Our Savior’s choir performing the National Anthem. There will be an award ceremony for advisory board members.

Cape Canaveral was incorporated in 1963 and has evolved and grown significantly since. Learn more about this history and legacy at the Historical Showcase.

This year’s Founder’s Day Celebration will be at in Manatee Park in Cape Canaveral.

Gather up your most competitive friends and family and enter the horseshoe tournament and grab a bite to eat from local food vendors. The Community Showcase will feature all of the unique and diverse local businesses in Cape Canaveral, as well as the nonprofit organizations that call the city home. Enjoy live music by Lucy Iris, an international pop artist based in Cocoa Beach. She’s a multi-talented musician, often playing both covers and unique, catchy original songs during her live sets.

Bounce houses and other kid-friendly activities will be available in the Kids Zone to keep the whole family entertained all day long!
