The stage is set once again in Historic Downtown Cocoa Village for the annual Cocoa Village Mardi Gras celebration presented by Brighthouse Networks and Lightholder Building Contractors. This year’s party promises to bring the spirit of New Orleans straight to the heart of Downtown Cocoa Village with a larger than life Parade of Floats on Saturday at 9:30 PM presented by News 13. The parade of Floats will have over 30 professional and semi-professional floats tossing more beads than you can carry. The entertainment lineup includes headliners the Pat Travers Band on the Main Cocoa Village Mardi Gras Stage at 8:30 PM.
The party continues through Sunday afternoon with the 2014 Cocoa Village Mardi Gras Paws in the Park event. Mardi Gras Paws in the Park is free for the whole family with a variety of dog related vendors and products on display to benefit the Central Brevard Humane Society. The event kicks off at 12:00pm and includes a silent auction, a 50/50 raffle, a “Parade of Pets”, and much more. A dog Mardi Gras King and Queen will also be crowned at this event. Paws in the Park takes place on Sunday, February 23rd in Riverfront Park in Historic Downtown Cocoa Village.
Tickets are on sale now online or at advance ticket locations for the advance price of $8/adults and $5/kids 12 and under. Tickets are also available at the gate the day of the event for $12/adults and $8/kids 12 and under.
