Earth Day is April 22, so local businesses and environmental groups are celebrating Brevard’s beautiful rivers, beaches, and wildlife. Become one with nature this weekend for Earth Day! There are tons of celebrations and beach clean-ups that are both fun and beneficial to the environment. Pick the one nearest to you and get involved.
Earthday Celebration and March for Science at Mrs. Mango

Viera Wetlands Nature Festival
When: April 22, 10AM – 4PM and April 23, 10AM – 2PM
Where: Ritch Grissom Memorial Wetlands at Viera, 3685 Charlie Corbeil Way, Viera
Get a good look at local wildlife at this year’s Viera Wetlands Nature Festival! There will be birds, bats, and butterflies, as well as native plants, nature photography, and art. There will also be guided walking and van tours of the wetlands, tours of the adjacent water reclamation facility, and workshops in both wildlife photography and birding. Chive Brevard Beautiful
When: April 22, 5PM
Where: Behind Coconuts on the Beach, 2 Minutemen Causeway, Cocoa Beach
The Chive is teaming up with Keep Brevard Beautiful to clean up the beach behind Coconuts on the Beach. There will be an after party at Coconuts with a special Chive Taco Bar and awesome drink specials. A portion of the proceeds will benefit Keep Brevard Beautiful!
Earth Day Sip n’ Stroll
When: April 21, 6 PM – 8 PM
Where: Rockledge Gardens, 2153 US Highway 1, Rockledge
Rockledge Gardens will have live music, complimentary cocktails, and special discounts to celebrate Earth Day! The Marine Resources Council will be there to discuss their work in restoring the Indian River Lagoon. Bringing a reusable cup is encouraged, but if you don’t have one to bring, mason jars will be available for $2 each. Proceeds from mason jar sales as well as raffle tickets will benefit the Marine Resources Council.
The Enchanted Forest Sanctuary’s Annual Earth Day Festival
When: April 22, 10AM – 3PM
Where: Brevard County Enchanted Forest Sanctuary, 444 Columbia Blvd, Titusville
The Enchanted Forest Sanctuary’s Earth Day Festival will feature live music from The Freightliners, food from Ritter’s Custard and Peru Power, live animals, native plants, and a sustainable marketplace featuring all small businesses across Brevard County.
Party for the Planet at the Brevard Zoo
When: April 22, 10AM – 3PM
Where: Brevard Zoo, 8225 N Wickham Rd, Melbourne
Blue Life, Brevard County Natural Resources, The City of Satellite Beach, Recycle Brevard, and the Sea Turtle Preservation Society will be at the zoo with fun hands-on activities to celebrate Earth Day! This party is included with Zoo admission.
