A longtime Easter tradition in Cocoa Beach is back on with a new name. The Easter Pro-Am Surf Contest will begin 8 a.m. Saturday morning and again at 9 a.m. at Lori Wilson Park in Cocoa Beach after a Sunrise Service.
There will be a long and shortboard bracket for men and women across all age groups. Professional winners can win up to $2,000.

The contest had been canceled up until March 17, when Salty Sweet announced that it would host the event. Since then, over 100 surfers have signed up, according to Florida Today. Salty Sweet is a local surf/lifestyle brand.
Demand for the event and its spot as a tradition kept this surf contest alive. We’re glad to see it return!
