The Easter Surf Fest is a Cocoa Beach tradition that spans almost 50 years The annual festival draws some of the world’s best surfers, thousands of spectators and kicks off Cocoa Beach’s official Spring Break season. The event is held each year at the world famous Cocoa Beach Pier located at 401 Meade Ave. in Cocoa Beach. The Pier extends more than 800 ft. over the Atlantic Ocean and is home to restaurants, bars and shops.
Cocoa Beach has long been known as the surfing capital of the East Coast and has produced some of the biggest names in surfing like Kelly Slater and CJ and Damien Hobgood. They all got their start right here in Brevard County and have risen to surfing super stardom throughout their careers.
The Easter Surf Fest has several different contests, from long boards to stand up paddle boards, for surfers of all ages and experience levels to compete in. The festival offers clinics and lessons to teach novice some tips and to get first time surfers to learn to catch a wave.
