Easy to Make Tzatziki Sauce with Pita Chips


One of our favorite bars on the Space Coast is Preacher Bar, located in Cape Canaveral, just minutes from the port and the beaches.

Preacher Bar has eclectically themed décor that brings a hint of the city to the beach. The menu takes a very modern twist on soul food, which delivers a refreshing change of pace for the locals and visitors.

On Preacher Bar’s menu, they have a delicious and creamy tzatziki sauce served with warm pita bread. After falling in love with Preacher Bar’s tzatziki sauce, we attempted to make an imitation tzatziki sauce of our own.

Tzatziki Sauce

This easy to make Greek tzatziki sauce takes less than 10 minutes to make and will have your taste buds begging for more.

Greek tzatziki is a tasty treat that has recently made its way into everyone’s kitchen. It’s mostly famous for being on gyros, falafels, burgers and salads.

Even though the name is hard to pronounce, the recipe sure is easy to make.

Tzatziki Sauce Ingredients

All you need for this recipe is:

  1. Two cups of plain Greek yogurt
  2. One to two tablespoons of fresh lemon juice
  3. Four cloves of peeled and minced garlic
  4. One tablespoon of olive oil
  5. One large, seeded and grated cucumber (about 1 cup)
  6. One tablespoon of fresh chopped dill (not dried)
  7. Salt and Pepper

Tzatziki Dip

After you’ve collected the ingredients, just mix it all into a bowl and voila! You’ve got yourself some delicious and easy-to-make Greek tzatziki sauce.
