Halloween is right around the corner! If you’re looking for something to do with the kids this Halloween season, look no further. Here’s our guide to some of the best family-friendly Halloween parties & fall festivals in Brevard.
Boo at the Zoo
Oct. 21-23 & 28-30 | 5:30 p.m.
Boo at the Zoo has always been a favorite family-friendly Halloween party on the Space Coast, and this year it’s more “spooktacualr” than ever! Boo at the Zoo features more than 30 treat stations, a DJ, games, a costume contest and a tween-orientated haunted house. Boo at the Zoo is open from 5:30 to 9 p.m. on Fridays and Saturdays and 5:30 to 8 p.m. on Sundays. Tickets are $12-$14.

The Haunted Farm of Merritt Island
Oct. 21-22, 25-29 & 31 | 6 p.m. – midnight
As sun sets on Paradise Farms something evil is stirring as the night approaches! The Haunted Hayride is 30 acres of haunts, ghouls and the “return of the undead.” The hayride has over four different attractions that offer something spooky for the whole family. If the Haunted Hayride is too scary for the little ones, take them over the Hay Maze (all ages), the Mini Monster Train or the Pumpkin Patch.

Fall Family Fun at LaPorte Farms
Oct. 23 & 30 | 10 a.m. – 4 p.m.
The LaPorte Farms is the ultimate fall festival! Pumpkin patch, pony rides, hayrides, sunflower field, bounce house, games, food: you name it, this fall festival has it! At noon there is a costume contest for kids 12 and under. Admission is donation based. Pony rides, unlimited time in the bounce house and games are $5.

Fall Festival at Sandpoint Park
Oct. 22 | 5-10 p.m.
Head over to the Fall Festival in Sandpoint Park for the perfect Saturday evening with your family! There will be a costume contest, trunk or treat, glitter tattoos and games for the kids. Kick back and watch the free movie in the park. Guests are welcome to bring lawn chairs and blankets to snuggle up. Snacks and drinks will be available for purchase.

20th Annual Fall Festival in Rockledge Gardens
Oct. 22 & 23 | 9 a.m.-3 p.m.
Celebrate the beauty of fall in Florida at the Rockledge Gardens. The Annual Fall Festival includes live music, food trucks, hayrides and arts and crafts. There will also be face painting, raffles and so much more. Admission into the festival is free.

Monster Mash & Trunk or Treat in Cape Canaveral
Oct. 28 | 6:30 – 8:30 p.m.
The city of Cape Canaveral presents the Monster Mash & Trunk or Treat event. There will be trick or treating, a dance party, games and a costume contest. Admission is free
Kidtoberfest at Wickham Park Pavilion
Oct. 28 | 5:30-11 p.m.
The Kidtoberfest at Wickham Park Pavilion will have something to do for the whole family. Kids (or adults… we’re not judging) can enjoy hayrides, a costume contest, games and a free movie in the park. Kona Food Truck Luaus will be at the event 5:30 to 8:30 p.m. The movie will start around 8 p.m. Guests are encouraged to bring chairs and blankets for a comfortable seat to watch the movie.

Annual Downtown Melbourne Trick or Treat
Oct. 22 | 11 a.m. – p.m.
Take the kids to the Annual Downtown Melbourne Trick or Treat event. Dress up the whole family in costumes and explore the streets of downtown Melbourne as participating stores pass out candy for the kids and offer special discounts for the parents.

Viera Voice’s 2016 Harvest Festival
Oct. 22 | 10 a.m. – 2 p.m.
The Viera Voice Harvest Festival will have a pumpkin patch, scarecrows, a costume contest and more. There will be a live band and tons of activities for the kids.

Howl-O-Ween Petacular in Cocoa Village
Oct. 29 | 1-4 p.m.
This event will be fun for the whole family, including your fur-babies! The 1st Annual Howl-O-Ween Petacular event will have doggy drag races, games, food, drinks and a costume contest for your animals! There will be prizes for “Best Decorated Wagon or Stroller,” “Best Dressed Owner/Pet Combo,” “Bets Costume – Large Pet,” “Best Costume – Small Pet.” There’s a $15 registration fee for entry into the costume contests. All proceeds benefit the Florida Dachshund Rescue, Golden Retriever Rescue of Mid-Florida and the SPCA of Brevard.
