Venue Bio:
From the Mousetrap to Chowders, we have the Kolsch Brothers back on the scene. They realized retirement wasn’t all that it’s cracked up to be, and missed the restaurant business enough to do it all over again. Since this is a family owned and operated business you will see them all here working, doing whatever it takes.
Norman is behind the scenes counting the nickels and dimes. Hank is running the bar, dancing around in his cowboy hat, making everyone laugh and smile. And Brother Gene (Mean Gene from Bernard’s Surf) is running the front of the house, talking to all the girls. And then we are lucky enough to have Norm’s children, Lizzy, and Stew, bringing their sparkling personalities and knowledge to the service end.
We are all really excited about our new venture here in Port Canaveral and we welcome you. We have made a lot of changes to our new location, and look forward to bringing everyone our newest creations.
Not only are we talking about food, even though it’s great, you’ll see for yourself. Our goal is to bring to this community a place for everyone, locals and visitors, who are looking for fun, someplace to go. Chances are if your friends aren’t here, you’ll make new ones.
We have a casual environment featuring art work from our favorite local artist, Jen Black. She painted the beautiful pictures on our booths so make sure you check them out! We have taken advantage of Jen’s talents to express the atmosphere we strive to provide to you!
Come see Baja’s GIANT CHAIR. Norman saw a big chair in Fort Myers and had to have a bigger one. If you know Norm, you’ll understand, he has to have the “biggest”.
So… Jeff Lake, local woodworker, made Norm his chair. Jeff had so much fun building our big chair and watching people shrink as they climbed in. Jeff laughs while commenting “I scoff at your tiny chairs.”
Norm says “If you think my chair is big, come in and try my burrito!!”
