Laid-back Atmosphere and Topnotch Hot Dogs at Long Doggers

If you want a fancy, candlelit dinner, this isn’t the place. But if you’re looking for topnotch hot dogs, tacos and sandwiches Long Doggers delivers big. One bite of one of the jerked Mahi tacos, or the cool ranch chicken sandwich, with bacon and cheddar cheese, makes this deliciously clear. The locals love coming to Long Doggers because of its casual atmosphere and good vibes.

From the moment it opened, Long Doggers became the Space Coast’s favorite hangout spot. The tropical décor features a tiki deck where guests can enjoy their meal and the beautiful Florida sunshine. The menu at Long Doggers consists of traditional burgers, wings, hot dogs, sandwiches and more, all with a unique twist. The Cocoa Beach location also now has a full bar menu.

Long Doggers is well-known for their ever-popular hot dogs, made with 100% beef. You can get a regular sized dog, or the foot long, but the specialty toppings are what make these dogs so popular. The epic chili dogs get a generous portion of tasty chili along with crispy bacon, shredded cheddar cheese, chopped onion and jalapenos.

New to the Long Doggers menu is the Epic Zamba Rolls. The concept is pretty simple; a grilled New England-style brioche roll, unique fillings and a side of homemade coleslaw. A Long Doggers’ favorite is the shrimp salad zamba roll, which is homemade cold shrimp salad, topped with shredded lettuce and sliced tomato. It sounds like there’s nothing to it but once you taste all the ingredients joined together in this toasted brioche roll, your taste buds will be saying differently.

Other favorites on the menu include the fish and chips basket, with large fillets of hand-breaded crispy fish and tartar sauce, or the tico pico bowl, with grilled chicken served on a bed of black beans and jasmine rice, drizzled with Ranch Pinero sauce with fried plantains and pico de gallo on the side. If you’re in the mood for some seafood you can’t skip out on the smoked fish dip or cracked peppercorn seared tuna.

The owners, L.J. and Al, first opened the first Long Doggers in Indialantic in 1997 and now have a total of six locations, including the one in Cocoa Beach. Over the years Long Doggers has become a go-to spot for families and friends to enjoy a fresh and flavorsome meal and friendly service. Nothing says happiness quite like enjoying a loaded hot dog and a pitcher of beer with your best pals at Long Doggers.
