The Space Coast’s largest and most popular air and space show returns this year at the Melbourne International Airport. The Melbourne Air & Space Show features an incredible lineup of talented flight crews and performers.
When: April 1-2, 9 AM – 5 PM
Where: 1 Air Terminal Pkwy, Melbourne
The U.S. Air Force Thunderbirds will headline this year’s Melbourne Air & Space Show. The Thunderbirds are the United States Air Force’s air demonstration squadron, known as the Air Force’s “ambassadors in blue.” Eight pilots make up the squadron, as well as four support officers, four civilians, and more than 100 enlisted personnel. The United States Air Force will present the F-35 Joint Strike Fighter for viewing.
As a part of its first U.S. tour in over 30 years, the Patrouille de France will perform at this year’s show. The squadron is the French equivalent to the United States Air Force’s Thunderbirds, representing the French Air Force through impressive aerobatics.
Keep a look out for demonstrations of the USN F-18F Super Hornet and the Harrier Jump Jet. The GEICO Skytypers will paint the sky with words and Kent Pietsch will land his airplane on a moving RV. For stationary enjoyment, the 17-acre aircraft display ramp at Melbourne International Airport will have tons of impressive civilian and military aircrafts on display.
Hang out in the VIP area to enjoy drinks under a cool, shaded tent, take memorable pictures in the photo pit, or hang out in general admission.
