With summer in full swing, barbeque is on everyone’s menu and one barbeque restaurant that has made a name for itself on the Space Coast for having the best barbeque is Slow & Low Bar-B-Que Bar and Grill.
The one-of-a-kind name refers to the way that they cook all of their meat, which is very slow and at a low temperature to guarantee the highest quality and best tasting barbeque around.
The barbeque restaurant owners, Nicole and Joel Smith, opened up the original Slow & Low Bar-B-Que in Cocoa Beach 11 years ago but faced a few challenges in the beginning due to Hurricane Frances and Hurricane Jean.
Eleven years of hard work, dedication and making customers happy with their barbeque, the owners of Slow & Low decided to open up a second location in Viera.
With zero advertisements besides word-of-mouth, the second location opened in January and has been an extreme success.
Residents of Cocoa Beach, and now Viera, swarm to Slow & Low because of their tasty pork, beef, brisket and enormous turkey legs.
Slow & Low takes a creative twist on the word “barbeque,” and has specialty items that you won’t find at any other barbeque restaurant on the Space Coast.
Some of the most popular items on the menu are the BBQ nachos, baby back ribs and The Hog pulled pork sandwich.
The BBQ nachos are tortilla chips topped with a heaping load melted cheese, lettuce, tomatoes, onions, sour cream and fried jalapeños. But what makes these nachos so unique Slow & Low’s special Low Down & Dirty Sauce.
The Hog is a pulled pork and brisket sandwich, served on a toasted hoagie bun and smothered with sautéed onions, cheese and chipotle BBQ sauce, to give it that extra kick!
Both of Slow & Low’s locations have a full liquor bar, drink specials almost every night of the week and live music Thursday through Sunday to ensure a grand time.
The locals in Cocoa Beach and Viera keep coming back to Slow & Low because of their one of a kind barbeque and impeccable service.
