Runaway Country 2013 Lineup Includes: Lady Antebellum & The Charlie Daniels Band

Announcements for this spring’s 3-day Runaway Country 2013 lineup are starting to roll out of the Runaway Country office. The Festival’s Executive Producer, Gary McCann has released the first few names to play the main stage; March 22-24 at the Space Coast’s 400-acre Wickham Park.

“Today we are thrilled to announce the appearance of seven-time Grammy award winning Lady Antebellum. Joining Lady Antebellum; chart-topping, country music stars Billy Currington and Craig Morgan and the always popular, crowd favorite Charlie Daniels Band.”

McCann continued, “Lady Antebellum has won so many ACM and CMA awards it’s hard to keep count. They debuted with a double platinum album followed by the
triple platinum ‘Need You Now.’ ”

Runaway Country Program Manager Barbara Jones asked with a big smile, “Does it get any better than ‘People are Crazy’ and ‘Redneck Yacht Club’ live along our
beaches and lakes? I am such a big fan somebody pinch me.”

“Each year we get to transform the Space Coast into three amazing days of music,” added Melbourne Regional Chamber President Christine Michaels. “It is a very cool experience. I love how the community has embraced the event with so many people inviting friends and family to join them at Runaway Country.”

Moving the festival’s dates from May to March is expected to bring a welcome economic boost to the region. Space Coast Office of Tourism Executive Director, Rob Varley said, “Every year more folks tell us they are planning their Florida vacation with Runaway Country on their itinerary. It’s a wonderful weekend. We can’t wait.”

McCann concluded, “Hundreds of campsites have been added and more hotels are participating with ‘Runaway for the Weekend’ packages.”

More artists will be announced in the next few weeks.Previous performers include Alan Jackson, Randy Travis, Jake Owen, Miranda Lambert, Eric
Church, Chris Young, Dierks Bentley, Kellie Pickler, Brantley Gilbert, Justin Moore, Lonestar, Big & Rich, John Anderson, Lo Cash Cowboys and many more
