The Space Coast Lightfest at Wickham Park in Melbourne opens this year on November 18th and runs through December 31st. The family oriented event, which draws over 15,000 vehicles annually, features shimmering lights and dazzling animated displays. The 1.1 mile long park is transformed into a winter wonderland filled with hundreds-of-thousands of lights. Experience the wonders of the season up close as you journey through the twinkling displays that thrill young and old! The finale is the 200 foot long Light tunnel with over 30,000 bulbs that completes your experience in a pulse of color.
The Space Coast Lightfest has several fun things to do in addition to the traditional drive-through light displays. New this year, the Space Coast Lightfest has added a stroll-through event to its’ lineup. On December 15th, park your car and stroll through the lightfest to see all the wonder of the holiday light up close. Also on December 15th, kids can enjoy face painting, pony rides, bounce houses, a petting zoo and visits with Santa. Throughout the lightfest, you can take part in hayrides, listen to live music and purchase popcorn and hot chocolate from local boy scout troops.
Tickets are $10/car Sunday – Thursday and $15/car Friday & Saturday. You can save $2 by donating a new unwrapped toy for Toys for Tots at the gate.
