Since most of Brevard is right on the water, there’s no better place to enjoy fresh fish tacos than on the Space Coast. Don’t like fish? No worries. Mexico’s Grill

If you’re looking for authentic Mexican tacos , this is your place. The food is colorful, fresh and absolutely delicious. Located in the Publix Plaza, near the Cocoa Beach Pier, Mexico’s Grill is serving up homemade dishes with 100-year-old recipes. Oh yeah, did we mention they make fresh corn tortillas daily? Mexico’s Grill is also making homemade red and green sauces that are made with tomatoes, jalapenos, dried chiles, special sent from Mexico. One reason why so many of the locals love Mexico’s Grill is for their street tacos. Choose from different types of meat, such as chicken, carnitas, steak, shrimp and fish. Top it with cilantro, radishes, pico de gallo or cabbage and wrap it in a warm corn tortilla. On Taco Tuesday at Mexico’s Grill you can get any taco for $1.50 all day! This is a no-brainer.

Sandbar Sports Grill

While there are plenty of places around Brevard to eat fish tacos, Sandbar has raised the bar with their blackened or baja fish tacos. The tacos are served on a warm, soft flour tortilla with homemade Pico de Gallo, finely shredded cheese, fresh lime, crunchy lettuce, a jalapeno white sauce and the meat of your choice (fish, shrimp, charbroiled chicken, carne asada and seasoned ground beef). Da Kine Diego’s Insane Burrito

This quaint beach-shack, located right off A1A in Satellite Beach, is known for their burritos and tacos. The staff is always friendly, the beers are cold, the atmosphere is laid-back and the food is always great. The taco concept at this Hawaiian-theme surf shack is simple: soft tortillas, ultra-seasoned meat, topped with lettuce, shredded cheese, a creamy white sauce and fresh Pico de Gallo. It may sound simple, but when you bite into one of these bad boys, you’ll be thinking anything but “simple”. One of the local’s favorite tacos at Da Kine Diego’s is the pork carnitas tacos, which are seasoned and cooked to perfection. Locals travel from near and far just for a bite of their chicken chings and tacos. A house favorite, the chicken chings are filled with seasoned and shredded chicken, rolled into a flaky pastry and served with guacamole. You’ve never had beef tacos like the ones at Taco City, which are perfectly seasoned on a hard or soft shell, topped with their unique blend of greens and served with beans and rice. While there are plenty of places to eat tacos on the Space Coast, La Placita has raised the bar for authentic Mexican food. If you’re familiar with what real Mexican food is, you’ll be relieved to have found the real thing again. This little hole-in-the-wall spots makes everything from scratch, including the warm, corn tortillas. Order at the counter from a wall-mounted menu and choose from the burritos, tacos, tamales and more. Locals say they haven’t had Mexican food this good since being in Mexico. Try the carne asada or carnitas tacos with a glass of the homemade horchata. If you love Mexican food, this will instantly become your new favorite spot. One of the best parts is that you can style your taco with a handful of different toppings and fillings that other taco joints don’t have. You can choose from rice, beans, guacamole, bacon bites, corn salsa, scallions, black olives, cheese, cilantro, green peppers and more to be added to your taco.
