The biggest art festival on the Space Coast has found a new home at Wickham Park. The 33rd Annual Melbourne Art Festival draws thousands from across Brevard County to experience unique artwork from hundreds of artists.
Last year’s festival featured over 250 artists from across the country, displaying a host of 2-D and 3-D art, some of which were for sale and others that were entered in the overall competition. The festival is from April 22 – 23.
Indulge in the diverse art, clothing, food, drinks this festival offers each year. The 33rd Annual Melbourne Art Festival kicks off Saturday morning with the 5K Flamingo run. The juried art show and the student art competition follow the race, beginning at 9am.
Bring the little ones along to experience KidsWorld, an interactive exhibit packed with tons of crafts and hands-on activities designed to inspire young children.
Artists involved in the art show will lead youth art workshops, where young artists can gain tips and tricks from the talented artists featured.
Enjoy tons of live music from 1pm into the evening. Johnny Danger, The Usual Suspects, Tusk: The Ultimate Fleetwood Mac Tribute, and more will perform while guests check out the creations on display.
Proceeds from the festival are used to promote and encourage artistic endeavors, local high school scholarships, and art education for local students.
