Wabi Sabi, located in Merritt Island, is a champion when it comes to crafting the best sushi rolls. The fish is always fresh and delicious, and the chefs know exactly what ingredients to combine with the different types of fish. Renowned for their monkey brain appetizer, Sea of Love and Beauty and the Beast rolls, there really isn’t one bad thing on their menu. The “monkey brains” is a half of avocado stuffed with spicy tuna and crab, and then deep fried to crunchy perfection. The Sea of Love roll is spicy tuna, avocado, scallions, and asparagus, topped with seared tuna, tempura flakes and a mix of secret sauces. If you love sushi, this roll never fails to disappoint. Tip: request eel sauce with everything. This intimate restaurant is the perfect spot to grab lunch with a friend or take that special someone on date night.
Siam Orchid is Cocoa Beach’s hidden gem. The chefs created a menu that has just about every sushi roll you could wish for. With plenty of seating and a sushi bar, this is the perfect sushi joint to visit with a large group of people or party. Unlike other sushi restaurants, Siam Orchid is connected to Sapphire Lounge, where most of the local’s go to grab a cocktail and delectable plate of sushi. Known for having a large variety of unique sushi rolls, the Cocoa Beach roll is quite spectacular. Shrimp tempura, eel and spicy crab, topped with avocado, tempura flakes and special sauce, this roll is most definitely worth trying. No matter if you take a seat in the restaurant and get sushi with the family or head over next door to Sapphire Lounge and enjoy your sushi with a cold drink and good music, their food never disappoints.
This sushi haven is located in historic downtown Melbourne. Not exactly on the water, you wouldn’t expect to find some of the best sushi on the Space Coast here, which makes Matt’s Casbah one of the best sushi joints around. The menu at Matt’s Casbah is simple and was made so guests could spend less time looking at the menu, and spend more time enjoying sushi. Fresh cuts of tuna, salmon, wahoo, yellowtail and escolar are layered over a pillow of warm rice and drizzled with the perfect amount of flavoring. If you’re still hungry try the Garnet and Gold roll, a local favorite. The roll is made up of spicy tuna, crab and green onion, topped with tuna, tempura flakes, ponzu, sriracha, masago and eel sauce. Sushi happy hour is every Monday through Thursday, 4 to 7 p.m. Ten percent off the sushi menu and $3 flavored sake!

The chefs are always preparing beautiful sushi rolls that could be considered a work of art. Known as being the “go-to” place for sushi, the locals love Thai Thai’s bento boxes. If you want to get the most out of your money, head to Thai Thai for lunch time. Eight pieces of sashimi, four pieces of sushi and a four piece California roll is only $11.95. If you’ve never been to Thai Thai before, try the Sushi Bomb tempura roll. Hamachi, tuna, salmon, avocado, asparagus and scallions, topped with roe and drizzled in special sauces ($13.95).
