Valentine’s Day, in Brevard County, gives residents plenty of options on how to celebrate this romantic weekend. The more traditional way of celebrating Valentine’s Day, is taking your loved one out to a romantic dinner, with wine, chocolate and flowers.
Love in the Gardens is the perfect opportunity for a romantic candle-lit dinner, underneath the moon light, with your Valentine. This event is at Rockledge Gardens, on Friday, Feb. 13, starting at 6 p.m.
Tickets for Love in the Gardens are $10 in advance and $15 at the door, which includes a cocktail, chocolate, a chance to win prizes, a discount on flowers and a live outdoor concert.
If residents are still looking for a delicious meal to share with their loved one but don’t want to go the traditional route, of a candle-lit dinner, they can try a Valentine’s cooking class, also located in the Rockledge Gardens, on Saturday, Feb. 14, at 12 p.m.
This afternoon cooking class is a unique date, for couples to learn how to make multiple hors d’oeuvres and a cocktail, using fresh vegetables and herbs from the garden.
Tickets for this cooking class are $50 per couple but space is only limited to 10 couples. To register early, call (321) 636-7662.
After you’ve enjoyed dinner with your sweetheart, you can also go to a show.
“West Side Story” takes place in the street of 1950’s Manhattan, where two teens fall in love but face the difficulties of gangs, in their neighborhood.
This show is playing Valentine’s Day weekend, at the Historic Cocoa Village Playhouse, Feb. 13-15, at 8 p.m. on Friday and Saturday and 2 p.m. on Saturday and Sunday.

“Always a Bridesmaid” is a comedic story, about four friends and the promise they have sworn to keep, no matter what.
This play will be at the Titusville Playhouse in the Historic Emma Parrish Theatre, Friday and Saturday at 8 p.m. and Sunday at 2 p.m. Tickets are being sold for $15 and can be bought at www.titusvilleplayhouse.com.
If you and your sweetie would like to spend Valentine’s Day out on the water, then Space Coast River Tours is right for you. This tour brings guests through the waterways of Cocoa Beach and Cape Canaveral, with the chance to see Brevard wildlife, such as dolphins and manatees.
Space Coast River Tours is offering a special Valentine’s Day tour, which will include a complementary lunch, with chocolates and champagne.

Downtown Melbourne will be hosting a Valentine’s Friday Fest, on Feb. 13, starting at 6 p.m. If you are coming with a Valentine, this event will be offering Gold Coast Horse and Carriage rides, which will include a 20-25 minute carriage ride and complementary wine and chocolates. This Valentine’s Friday Fest will also include live entertainment, various food trucks and over 70 different vendors.
